What I Do

I am a fulltime freelance consultant working in developing countries and Australia, specializing in managing change, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), human resource management (HRM), 0rganizational Development (OD), capacity building, Human Resource Development (HRD), curriculum, assessment and education management, and related fields. Since 1980 I have worked in teacher education, curriculum evaluation, research projects, system leadership, project evaluation, organizational management, student assessment, governance strengthening, and various other change management projects, in developing and developed countries. Multiple publications/reports in English attest to my fluency and high level case study and report writing skills. During 2008 I have consulted for professional and education services and commercial organizations, and have now commenced on a World Bank Project as HRD/Training Advisor in the Solomon Islands. My international consulting experience is in SE Asia, including Vietnam and Indonesia, and the Solomon Islands in the Pacific. In Vietnam I served as Team Leader for a 2007 national project, and earlier led the M&E component of a major project upgrading the VET system, with experience as acting Chief Technical Adviser for the Project and working with MOLISA, MOET and related departments. I served as HRM Advisor in a UN governance project in the Solomon Islands for 6 months in 2007. Also recently, I worked as Project Director, Curriculum and Student Assessment in a major ATN Australian University, and led Organizational Development and Change in the HRM Division of Go8 Australian University. I have trained groups from SE Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Pacific. I have a flexible approach to consulting, and significant experiences as an international and Australian consultant, with significant management experience contributing to insights in institutional, system and project management. My qualifications include two masters degrees (MEd and MBA).
