Senior Staff Lord Byron Abadeza Senior Research Associate Lord Byron Abadeza is a Senior Research Associate at The Development Executive Group. He leads the in-house Custom Research Team and forms part of the group that provides candidate sourcing services to client organizations. Prior to his engagement by DevelopmentEx, Byron concurrently worked as a Researcher for the Social Development Research Center of De La Salle University-Manila and Programme Officer for the La Salle Institute of Governance. He spent more than five years studying civil society, governance, and participatory local governance under projects funded mainly by the Ford Foundation, The Asia Foundation, and UNDP. Byron obtained a B.A. Political Science degree from the University of the Philippines in Diliman in 1999. Radamanthus Batnag Senior Technology Architect Radamanthus Batnag is a Senior Technology Architect at The Development Executive Group. In this role, he makes recommendations on technology strategy, internal training, and processes for the in-house I.T. team. Rad led the team responsible for creating major features of beta.developmentex.com, including Company Directory, Alerts, News & Analysis, and Blogs. This all-around I.T. manager previously served leading I.T. solutions vendors in the Philippines, including Entertainment Gateway Group, Net Effect (now NetLearn), and Net.Curricula. Before securing a diploma in BS Computer Science from AMA University, Rad attended the undergraduate program in molecular biology and biotechnology in the University of the Philippines in Diliman. Edgar De Jesus Senior Research Associate Edgar De Jesus is a Senior Research Associate at The Development Executive Group. He oversees the company's Procurement Opportunity Team, which is responsible of creating the world's most comprehensive online database of procurements by tracking and monitoring over 150 websites. With a BS Biology degree from the University of the Philippines in Manila, he landed consulting assignments in USAID projects on industrial pollution prevention, environmental impacts, hazardous wastes, environmental and coastal resource management. He also worked for Tetra Tech EM, Inc. one of the leading U.S.-based environmental management firm handling environmental projects in the Philippines, including those funded by JICA, JBIC and the ADB. Edgar also served as an individual consultant for various firms on several environmental projects sponsored by the World Bank, JBIC, and the Korean Ministry of Environment. Jessimen Espesor Senior Developer Jessimen Espesor is a Senior Developer at The Development Executive Group. Jessie is part of the team that focuses on building features for DevelopementEx's new site and handled the development of applications for some of the company's major services such DevelopmentHire, DevelopmentTrack and DevelopmentEx 2.0. This Java expert was instrumental in devising the content management system at the Department of Trade and Industry and the AutoResibo program for the Bureau of Internal Revenue in the Philippines. Jessie graduated from the University of the Philippines in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in computer science. Maria Rita Tanya L. Villanueva Senior Web Developer Maria Rita Tanya L. Villanueva is a Senior Web Developer at The Development Executive Group. She leads the team that is in charge of designing and developing major features of beta.developmentex.com, including Jobs, Business Opportunities and group sites. Tanya is adept in numerous computer languages, Java, web and wireless technologies, platforms, database programs, application servers and development tools. A season programmer, she was instrumental in developing several I.T. solutions for foreign and Philippine companies. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science with specialization in Information Technology from De La Salle University. Eliza J. Villarino Senior Staff Writer Eliza J. Villarino is a Senior Staff Writer at The Development Executive Group. She played a critical role in the conceptualization of the Development Newswire and is now part of the Editorial Team, which is responsible for the management of The Global Development Briefing, the world's leading publication on international development and humanitarian emergencies. Eliza earned her bachelor's degree in political science and her master's diploma in public affairs from the University of the Philippines. She has written articles and news briefs for Internet media organizations and for New York's Fordham University-based non-government organization Institute for Ethics and Economic Policy. Abby Gale Zipagan Senior Research Associate Abby Gale Zipagan is a Senior Research Associate at The Development Executive Group. Aside from preparing "early intelligence" reports, Abby provides supervision to DevelopmentEx's Company Directory Team and currently manages the Individual Professional Membership service, which caters to over 3,500 international development professionals worldwide. Before joining the company in 2006, she interned at the Office of European Affairs at the Department of Foreign Affairs and worked as a Customer Service Associate for Sykes Asia, one of the biggest business process outsourcing companies in the Philippines. Abby has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies, with specialization in European Studies, from De La Salle University. |
